Congrats ! Factory White and White vinyl top and looks like tan interior :) ? I have never seen that before. Thats one thing I love about Mopars, so many interesting variations, you'd like to have been there when the person ordered the car. I have a '70 Coronet 500 N code with NO vinyl top...
I really like what you did here, I get real happy seeing people like you saving a 4 dr ! Its custom and cool and these '71-'72 sedans have very nice lines. I bet you can get 17 mpg too, but that 400 is sure saliva enducing :D Oh... and if you put the 400 in, I'd love to recommend a Hotchkis...
Love your car ! ..And not often you see this color combination, I haven't seen this one before. Congrats with a great car ! I have an untouched '68 RoadRunner 4 spd, 128k miles (engine never pulled, but clutch replaced and new springs) even has "original" dent from a collision in '69 with real...
Very decent car, John, and some excellent options ! Mine is very close to yours but original N code all #'s match F8 , black buckets no vinyl roof and manual drums (go figure!). Like you I also installed a front sway bar. Does wonders to handling. Do you know what rear gears you have ? Did you...
Nice vehicle ! How long have you owned this car ? I seem to recollect a vehicle very similar to this for sale a few years ago on this site. Maybe its the same one ? I suppose you have no build sheet or it would have been mentioned ? GLWS !
The Cooper Zeon RS3-S 235/50/18 tires are more expensive @ 150 a pop, so I think I will stick with that size wheel. Seems its easy enought to find 17 X 7 wheels and yet for the tire the optimum would be 17" x 7,5"
I have a 68 RR totally stock 124k survivor 383 / 4 Spd / drums / manual brake / Bench. Its going racing around the NYST just for one day in late June. I have been there once before running 14" 215/75/14 Coker redlines, and yes it was fun but kinda disastrous screeching my way around the track. I...
If you decide on 275/60/15 you can have Max rim width of 9", they work very well with 8" (mine are 8" and 4,5 Backspace no rubbing anywhere)
A note on 70 Profile : Above 225/70/15, remember your tire diameter will go up and the sidewall is going to be TALL. Might look cool going straight but as...
Hello There in England :) Congrats on a lovely Satellite !
I have a 1970 Coronet, originally with 14" Wheels but for me too small so I opted for period correct Rallye 15"x7" in front and 15"X8" in the rear. Wanting a fatter tire to fill the rear wheel well i went with 275/60/15 and then chose...
Hi ! My 1970 N Code Coronet 500 came without any front swaybar, mushy handling to say the least ! As soon as I wanted off the highway ramp it was like a ship in a storm ! So I had a mopar mechanic fix the rear springs (saggy after 26 years in a barn ! ) and a front Hitchkis swaybar installed...
