Oh boy, does that bring back memories!

You know you’re in the country when…

My neighbours lit their “burn barrel” a couple weeks ago.

You know you’re in the country when…

Let’s start a thread about things that you’ll only see in the country. This happens in my area, and likely lots of others, once a year. It’s take your tractor to school day.

Stories from back in the day when times were easier . . .

Way back when myself and a buddy were out one night at a local fair and went to a bar afterwards to help fill the evening. I had a 72 GTO and he had a 76 Charger Daytona. We left the bar in time to catch last call at the bar in the next town on the way home. We left there hoping to get the...

WTB Internal steering column bolts wanted

I need two of the bolts and nuts circled in red in the picture. I’m told the column is a 66 or 67 Satellite or Fury most likely, even though it’s in a Charger.

    Steering column

It was at Pentastar Motors in Gorrie. Great bunch of guys. Very friendly and certainly treated me right. The owner is a Mopar guy and has some beautiful cars.

    Steering column

I was wrong about the plate. It was there, just removed when they took the picture. @LowBikeMike You are correct, it is the bolts that are missing. Two of them. They think this column is out of a 66 or 67 Plymouth, maybe a Satellite or Fury. Is there some way to verify that? Would the bolts be...

    Steering column

@gkent Thank you. It does look the same except mine is missing the metal plate that’s held down with the three screws. So nothing is anchoring the switch and it doesn’t always cancel. The shop told me that stuff is just being held by the nut that holds the wheel. At first I thought he was...

    Steering column

In 1968 did Dodge and Plymouth use the same steering column? I have a 68 Charger and it’s at a shop right now. Right signal would go solid when the brakes are applied. The shop says there’s no way of attaching the switch plate and are wondering if it could be a Plymouth column. This is a floor...

Post up facts and things that hardly anyone knows...... (for entertainment purposes only. NO need to fact check)

In 1936 Imperial Oil, owner of the Esso brand in Canada started sponsoring NHL hockey broadcasts on TV. The three stars in the Imperial Oil logo gave rise to the choosing of three stars at the end of the game.

    Dremel question

I have a 7300 Dremel, I've had it for several years. I can't seem to get it to take a full charge anymore. It should charge up in three hours but even after 12 hours it doesn't have enough power to run under any kind of load. Does the rechargeable battery wear out and need to be replaced?

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Was in the shop, not really doing much other than enjoying the efforts of my favourite craft brewery with some Marshall Tucker Band on the speakers, when my son showed up with some apple pie. How did I get so lucky?
