75 Cordoba tail light lense adhesive

Hey - they sell that stuff at Autozone. It's called benzene tape or something like that. It comes in a long, coiled roll and is black. I almost lost my tail light lens driving home after buying my 76 ... Didn't realize it was loose.

1976 Cordoba soon to get engine swap.

Yeah for mud flaps! Mine came with 4, adorned with racing flags. Just can't bring myself to take them off.

    Chrome door trim

Thanks for the reply, Hemi. The molding is holding fine, but the "chrome" on it, actually a thin layer of clear plastic with chrome coating, came most of the way off. I guess I was wondering if anyone tried painting it or something like that. The chrome tape from auto stores is just ok - good...

    Chrome door trim

Hi everyone, Has anyone figured out a good way to replace the chrome sticker that runs along the door? I've tried the chrome sticker stuff that they sell in auto parts stores, and while it's ok, it's not real easy to work with and you don't seem to get a great fit. Thanks!

Here you go ... complete disassembly with pictures. Haven't looked closely in a while, so I'm not sure how far he's gotten with the resto/rebuild. http://restoringcordoba.blogspot.com/

air cleaner housing and electric choke

Hi, I need to get a new air cleaner housing since I replaced the lean burn on my 76 Cordoba 400. How did you all make one fit over an electric choke carb? Is a spacer the way to go? Any problems with hood clearance? I'd like to put on a vintage-looking, new unsilenced one or maybe a...

    Car lift

Thanks! All good tips. I'm in Macomb County. Unfortunately, I had to work Sat and couldn't make the show. I'll look into the DIY thing. Thanks again.

    Car lift

Hi all - if and when life slows down a bit I'd like to get under the car and do some work ... gas tank swap and headers/exhaust. I'd like to do the work myself. Do you have any ideas how to get it up on a lift where I can do the work? Don't have one at home, and I don't know anyone with one...

    General Questions

Hi - I picked up a 76 Cordoba with 20K original for $5200, for reference. Very little rust and ran good ... well, pretty good with the Lean Burn. I swapped in a 1406 Edelbrock, Performer manifold and the Mopar electronic ignition and now it runs flawlessly. I would recommend one component at a...

    Fast 'n Loud

Stacy David did a cool mod on 70s or 80s station wagon ... that was the best one I've seen. He was doing burnouts with his daughters buckled in the back seat ... sounds bad but it was pretty funny.
