727 and 904 use the same valve body and shift lever. So I'm confused how the trans lever is the problem.

Your shift lever and your kickdown lever look factory. Look for problems elsewhere.

Still has the ink stamp on the gear housing. Rubber seal is "perfect " Based on no cracking and soft. Been in my basement for 40 years. No rust pitting. Probably works fine, but we all know it's going in for a redo. PM coming.
