I went and checked my color book. 66-67 have different formula numbers. Of course, 68 is one year also. What threw me in this thread was calling dark green, sequoia green, which is a Chyrsler name. I looked through my formula data base for all names of GG in 66 and 67. Found none.

Oldest trick I have, Unscrew the plate, hammer the concave hole flatter, reinstall. You minght not be able to screw the 3 attaching screws all the way after if you overdo it.

Food for thought. Early pre 69 318 have a higher compression than 72 up. The OP's 73 is advertised at 8.2, and probably lower. A static compression test might answer alot. My bet is cranking comp is 120 psi

Unless you bump compression, stay with a 252° duration. Look in the RV selection by cam manufacturers. Nothing worse than too large of cam making NO power.
