Hi, I have an interesting question about fender tags. I have a 1970 Dodge Charger and a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring, both with all codes easily visible (the chargers' being in better shape: My question is; why isn't the: axle or wheel code on my fender tags??! It doesn't appear on this...

The letters are just used for Post-year produced cars... Taking your 69, for example; if your car had been made in late 1968 (a 1969 waiting to be sold at the first day of 1969) it'd have a letter to signify the month. Cars that were produced on the assembly lines from the first day of January...

That's good, I'm glad that it has some of the vin there! That appears to tell the roof line of what car it belonged to, so at least I can find out what car that the swapped in engine originated from..

Thanks for the help! I also have a 1970 Charger which was a factory 383 car, and when I went to look for the plate; it wasn't there! Going from what you just told me, of which engines have the stamping there; that explains why... Do you happen to know where its stamped on 383 engines?
