Our trans builder says the one we have is bad. I'd really prefer something new since I'm not sure there is a verifiable way to know if a used one is better than what we have.
Mopar part number is: 3878431
Came across this while cleaning out some parts.
Mallory part # 700, resistor. This is brand new in package.
It appears that this is discontinued, and the only pricing I've found is on ebay.
I'll do $100 shipped.
I can take payment via postal money order, zelle, or venmo.
I have lots of feedback...
Back from the dead....
My dad is having a hard time getting the shifter linkage set up correctly.
Does anybody have some picture of how this is supposed to look?
Refresher: 1969 Satellite, cast iron A833 overdrive.
Hey everybody.
We have our 1969 Satellite we have remove the slant 6 powertrain and k frame from and installed a 1974 440, 1969 k frame, and a 4 speed overdrive.
Getting our wiring figured out for the coolant sensor.
Is the slant 6 gauge and sensor similar spec to what we would use on the 440...
More info I had never heard/thought about. Thank you.
Trans is not in the car. We were trying to get it mocked up and adjusted first.
I will do my best to keep this updated. We move to Wyoming in 3 weeks, so I'm super busy.
That's a great idea...unfortunately my dad lives an hour away and isn't willing to learn how to use a phone to take pictures. Sorry I didn't think about that. If you look straight down from the top of the trans, the shifter rods when tightened to the trans are sticking away from the transmission...
The rods we tried were new aftermarket from Year One. If we tightened the nuts to the shafts, the shift rods were WAY out of plane to attach to the Hurst shifter. Hope that makes sense.
My dad has a cast iron 833 overdrive that he wants to install behind the 440 going into his 69 satellite. This is upgrading from the slant 6, 3 speed manual. He has had the front bearing retainer machined down to fit the bellhousing. He has a new Hurst shifter. I spent a few hours with him today...
