Thanks for all the replies.
To eliminate possible causes I plan to usr some beefy power wires, both from the negative (battery) to the block, and from the positive (battery) to the starter relay.
If nothing is changed, I think I have to find the wire that goes from the starter switch relay to...
So I am trying to start the car, crank 1 no start, pump the gas a few times, crank 2 no start, pump again, then attempt no.3, when turning the key to start, I hear a pop, then all power is lost (even clock stops), though the ignition is turned on. Turn ignition off, you can see the clock moving...
amm... what does a residual pressure valve do, and where is it? Back when restoring the car I just bought a master cylinder for a 1968 Charger; it fit so it went on the car... no need to scold me on my ignorance, already done that :)
I am meaning to do a whole brake upgrade over the winter, and will of course get the correct master cylinder. BTW, I've been long asking myself, why is it important to have the correct one? I mean, it's just a tank that holds liquid to be delivered where it needs to go, right? What can happen if...
So here I am after a crappy day at work, taking the Charger out for a drive through the hills & forests around the city to vent. Some time after I started driving hard, I saw the Brake light flashing when upshifting from 1st to 2nd @ 6k rpm. Then, I saw it coming on and staying on when I was...
I always felt greatly missunderstood. I mean I really don't like that people think that if I see a human on the street, I just have to suck his blood... I mean when you see a beautiful girl walking past, you instantly drop what you're doing, and f*** her? I really believe I am a very nice and...
I know it's very shallow of me to pick on the company's name, but I can't stop myself :)
Since the Brits opted out of the EU, I have to go through customs for anything I buy from there. It's not only the money, it's the red tape. Before brexit, I would buy stuff from Britain on a weekly basis...
I LOVE THIS FORUM.
I think the Avons have everything I've been searching for. Except for the name. Really. Why would you chose a name that sounds like face cream?
Is there by any chance a place that sells the 245 & 295 within the EU, so I don't have to go through customs?
Could you give a bit more details? From the presentation it seemed like exactly what I was looking for, vintage thread, and grip.
Same for the Cooper Cobras / MT Sportsman ST, as I understand only marginally better grip, don't look as cool as the BFGs.
What size were they? When did you buy...
Thanks for all the pointers. I think I got a lead... what do you guys think of the M&H Muscle Car Drag tire? N50-15, comes with front size too, vintage looking tread.
M&H says medium compound, recommended for both for street and track. Seems to tick all the boxes, one last thing worries me -...
Have really searched before posting.
My car has the awesome looking BFG 295/50 & 245/60 combo. I think only thing that would look better would be radials that look like bias ply in the same sizes... so about a G60 in the front, and a N50 in the rear(correct me if I'm wrong about the...
*ANYBODY, PLEASE TELL ME WHO DOES A GOOD JOB REBUILDING THE A/C & CLUTCH* - be it a company, or a person with good reputation (like crackedback headlight relay harness)
I am at my wit's end.
I ended up calling Classic Auto Air (Original Air Group), and asked the rep whether they sell already...
I did try to fix my original 8 track, and it worked for a while. Bought the replacement parts needed, asked my uncle for help with the capacitors etc. However the results were sub-par, and eventualy the sound got lower, and lower, till nothing happened anymore. Bought a great looking, non...
I think I have to give additional details.
I also knew from old literature that the '68-'71 hp440 was realisticaly rated at 305-315hp.
I have the RV2 factory compressor on the engine, but the clutch was not engaged - so it was just idling the A/C/ clutch pulley. Does that rob hp as compared to...
Took the car to a chassis dyno yesterday, haven't seen a dyno showing what rwhp a stock hp 440 makes. Took a couple of videos of the runs, here's one of them:
262.7hp @5108rpm & 477Nm @ 3277rpm (that's 351lbft). If you take into acount a 25% drivetrain loss, that would translate to 350hp &...
