intake
After more research you are right. They do make 2 to fit my 383 that i have it narrowed down to. Different power bands. one is idle to 5500 the other is 1500 to 6500. I am leaning toward the second one. I have owned this car 15 years and time to get it done. I'm 55 and been a long time...
headers
I have a 73 Charger. Was a 318 then dropped in a 383. I got Hedman headers and they fit really tight. I did have to dent them in for clearance for the steering linkage/column. I also have a mini starter and they rub on it as well. Schumacher makes a block hugger style which i am told...
Once again thanks to all of you. The video was great!! I am going with the RPM "Air Gap" until i get tired of what im running and want MORE GIDDY-UP!!!!!
Ya i looked them up Part #'s 2186 and 7186 i believe they are both rpm performers and both fit 383's. The 7186 is taller than the 2186 and a bit different style. Which to go with?
Thanks guy's i looked into those. There are two different ones. The taller of the two would be best? I have a hood that came off a 71 Bee so clearance would not be a issue for me. Everything is done now (for the time being) including interior except body/paint. It has a white vinyl top (full) so...
Looking for some advice for intakes. I have a 68 383 rebuilt w/ mild cam, 750 holley double pumper, Pertronics dist. and coil, headers, 727 (don't know stall) 3:55 suregrip posi in a 73 Charger. Currently have a old holley single plane hi-rise intake and now looking for a new intake with little...
I don't know a lot either but from experience DO NOT get hooker headers. I have a 73 Charger and they fit terrible. From the answers here people with RR's w/your year have the same problem. They are REALLY tight and have clearance issues w/steering box, starter to just name a few. Although they...
Do I need to order the gate with it or can I use my existing one and just change the arm? Also are the grips included? I don't see if they are or not. It does look good. Does it work smooth with no issues? Tks for your help and the pics! Is yours a 69?
Your right they are. They are not made very well, and original ones are almost non-existent. SO pistol grip here I go, if I order the wrong one i will send it back and get the other one. Year one has them for $195.00 plus shipping. Part of the fun of loving these cars and being "a dummy" :) Like...
No sure don't. I'm a bit stuck in the 70's and between working/fishing it does not leave me a lot of extra time. I suppose I should just get off my backside and learn how to do that (pics). I am waiting for the kickdown linkage I found on ebay to arrive. My first purchase there. The bidding...
That makes a lot of sense. The handle I have now has a button on the left side of the T. It was cracked and the linkage sloppy. I had to use the button for park and to move it down. "Sometimes" it would just move without the button depressed and sometimes not. So you see my problem. Thanks for...
Re/Pistol Grip
That's what I thought they were one in the same. Year One has Pistol Grip Shifters for automatic tranny's. They have two listed one for slapstick and one for t handles. I do not want to order the wrong one and am confused as to what to get. They have wood grain grips and are very...
I have a 73 Charger which I changed from a column shifter to floor shifter and console. The problem is i'm not sure what it came out of. It fits fine, the linkage needs some adjusting and after a long search finally got the kick down linkage for a big block on e-bay (switched from a 318) the...
