It looks like Friday morning and early afternoon will be the best time there. Saturday looks like rain all day maybe. If Sunday is a wash too, I might head home first thing in the morning.
Still going despite the weather looking horrible. I've got a non refundable hotel room for 3 nights. I have worked outside in all weather conditions for 35 years as a diesel mechanic so as long as swap meet vendors and such show up, I'm there.
Thanks everyone, sounding better and better to me. I'll be there Thursday afternoon so I can see as much as I can Fri, Sat. and some of Sun. Going to look for some parts for my 71 RR.
It's a 8 hour drive for me.
OK here's an update. my son and I went to look at this RR and it's not all what the description said. We ran the VIN and it was originally a 383 car. The fender tag was missing, so we could go no further there.
The car had nearly no interior, no carpet, console, buckets from a 70 or 71,battery...
Yeah, well I been there before, believe me.
Going to look anyway and they also have an "investment quality restoration" '72 Cuda 340 6 pack auto matching numbers, etc. restored as an AAR.
A Sherwood green '72 Challenger w/HP 408ci. v8(must be an Indy) ,AT, Dana 60 3.54 nice looking.
Also a '74...
Hey guys, there is a large car auction coming up in my area soon and they have a '69 RR in, I believe Rally Green w/black vinyl top.
It appears to have a big block and is a 4 speed car. I have only seen one picture of it so far. Looks like some dings here and there, top pealing
off,cheap...
Thanks for the comments and I do love the FE5 color.
And for 71airgrabberRR and his project,I read the whole 51 page thread and was sad to find that he got rid of his RR project around page 49.
I understand the need to have less projects to do,but was looking forward to seeing this done as a...
Also after decoding the fender tag I found that it was to come with "Standard duty front disc brakes" (B11) but I assure you it did not. I swapped the front spindles
and drum brakes for a set of spindles and discs from a '76 charger when I was 17.
And I love the FE5 Bright Red/Rally Red and will...
Trying some pics.
Ok, here we go. See if I can get this right....These are some pics I took tonight and it is a little hard to get enough of the car in the pic as it is in a
shelter/temp garage I put up this holiday weekend(before I found this wonderful place)
Thanks all for the warm welcome. I have a picture from '78 that I'll have to scan and post.
I need to take some more now too and put with it, though it doesn't look nearly as good as
it did back then.
