Thanks for your reply and clarification. I have not had it apart and could not tell exactly how the seal fits together with everything from my factory manual exploded diagram or the online information I've found so far. So the pinion should not be affected, just put in a new seal?
My 68 roadrunner is leaking differential oil from the pinion seal. It's the original 8-3/4 differential '742' with a 1-3/4 pinion. I drive it about every three weeks and it only leaks about every other time I drive it, probably about a teaspoon. I'm wondering whether replacing the pinion seal...
I tried to adjust the trim with the antenna up all the way and tuned to the best station (which was prwetty bad) around 1400. I adjusted it about a half turn clockwise and the station got better (but still not very good), but coulds not turn it beyon that amount. It seem the screw will ony...
Does anyone know where the trim adjustment is located on a stock 68 Roadrunner thumbwheel AM radio? Can it be adjusted without taking the radio out?

Has anyone had to repair or replace a radio antenna cable that's broken where it plus into the radio? I can't find any replacement cables except with the entire antenna. I don't know how difficult it would be to replace, even if I could find just the cable. How about doing a splice repair...
