I have 275/60/15's in the back and 245/60/15's in the front, on Rallye wheels on my 70 Road Runner. Very happy with that set up from a ride and handling perspective and I like the look.

The difference between Type F and DEXRON has mainly to do with the static and dynamic friction performance parameters of the clutch plates (i.e. shift characteristics) that the OEM is targeting. ATF+4 would be a good choice for the 727 as Chrysler was trying to protect the older transmissions...
Most of the oil you have (SG or older) is "Garage Art" as you put it. SG was obsoleted by API in 1993. So, your engine oils are 30 years and older. Probably not suitable for any car due to age (additive dropout may have occurred among other things). Your Red Line oil you have in the first...
It looks like you have a spalling issue as well. The pump could be cavitating (i.e. getting air entrained in the oil) or/and you are experiencing chemical corrosion. The corrosion could be caused by too much ZDP in the oil. The cavitating issue if not entrained air could be an oil foaming...
Thanks. Excellent suggestion. I ordered the Z-bar based on it being for 68-70 B-bodies. I will double check. Parallel vertically and horizontally? Thanks again.

Thank you. It is a Hurst pistol grip. i believe it is original. the car has less than 1000 miles in the last 8 years. i think the transmission change was performed around 2011-12. i don't see any issues with the oil, but haven't had an oil analysis done. I assume the proper lubricant was...
Hello,
I have a 70 Road Runner with a 440/4-speed. The original transmission is out of car and in its place is a later overdrive version of the A833 (how I got the car) that I believe came out of a later model Dodge truck (78-93??). The transmission would occasionally have trouble getting into...
Hi Bob,
I just acquired a 70 RR 440+6. So, I am new to "For B bodies only". My car had been sitting for at least 4 years (85 total miles since sometime in 2017). Any way when I manually open the throttle linkage (not running) to WOT the outboard carbs do not engage. On my linkage there is a...
