I am looking for the hose that goes from the reservoir to the washer motor. Auto parts chains don't stock that type of hose and it seems that I have to purchase the entire assembly online. Does anyone have a source or the actual the hose diameter? Thank you!
Thank you. The reason I posted is my driver's side rear drum heats up to 170 degrees compared to 70-80 on the passenger side after a 30 minute drive. I had the wheel/braking assembly and bearing checked with 2 different mechanics and they found nothing.
My 1965 Coronet has been converted from power brakes to manual with a dual reservoir MC. The car still has drum brakes front and rear. There is no proportioning valve installed. Should I have one?
Hope you had a great holiday. Diff fluid full. Check out the pictures I took today after a 20 minute ride. Thinking axle bearing even though there is zero noise or axle play. Any thought would be appreciated. Thank you!
It's funny you say that because last night while laying in bed that popped into my mind! (Pathetic, right? lol). I'll check that after the holidays. Thanks again!
Driver is the wheel that gets so hot after a 30 minute drive that I can't even touch the drum (even though no smoke and no noise). The 3 other wheels are only warm at best. Both drums were cut and look smooth and have meat left on them. Thanks!
Update: the drums, pads and wheel cylinders on both rear wheels look perfect. The emergency brake deploys and releases on both wheels and both wheels stop equally with the car on jack-stands. The drums also come off with ease. What I did notice is that the wheel bearing retainer is different on...
After having my 1965 Coronet converted to a dual reservoir manual master cylinder and the brake pads replaced and the drums cut, my left rear wheel/drum gets extremely hot after a 30 minute ride. Can't even touch the drum! No squeals, no smoke, it's just that I noticed a slight smell which is...
The bearings were replaced during the brake job and when I jacked up the car with both rear wheels off the ground they did spin effortlessly with the parking brake released. I have put approximated 100 miles on the car since the brakes were done but I will bring it to the mechanic that did the...
I recently had brake pads and re-surfaced rotors done on my 1965 Coronet 500. Any time I drive for over an hour, I noticed that my rear drivers wheel is hot to touch especially compared to the other wheels. It doesn't pull or squeal and when I jacked it up, the wheel spun freely. Should I be...
