If they are all chrome they are not original. All 1969 and up Mopar "Road Wheels" had satin finished spokes and the rest of the rim was black, with a trim ring. They came in one size only 14" X 5.5".
You need the backing plate. It is larger than the medallion and provides stability, spreading the contact area further. If you use self thearded nut, you take a chance if the medallion shifting and ripping or the pulling through the vinyl.

The 1968 RR looks like striped down 69.
But both are so much better looking than the 1970 RR. It looks heavy and out of proportion, front quarter too big and the rear too long. The oversized grill was a hint at what to come in 71.
