I was alone in the shop tonight so could not get center to center. From outside to outside was 39.25 inches (99.69 cm) and the springs were 2.5 inches wide (6.35 cm).

I have had good success using the 3m stripe off wheels. Used them on multiple paint surfaces and haven't had any paint issues. I have not tried it on organosal paint however.
