    Functionally there is no difference that I know of. And the cylinders pictured will work on a disc brake car. The size of the reservoirs being the difference. Disc need the larger reservoirs as the pads wear.

    Residual pressure valves? Self adjusters lubed up and working properly and evenly. Parking brakes hanging up somehow. Shoes arced in? Just thinking out loud.

    There is a seal inside the gear. If it's not in correctly that could prevent it from seating all the way down. Here is mine.

    I just used some harbor freight furniture dollies beefed up with an extra pair of wheels. Worked well. Of course I didn't use it as a test stand......

    My 64 Plymouth. 430" hemi, Weiand tunnel ram, 2 holley 750 do, small isky roller,big milodon oil system, 65 torqueflight, 9" A and A converter. Dana 60 w/4.11 gear. Still needs a lot of work but it's drivable. Been at least 4 years down time.

    Try Faxon auto literature. Got a service manual and a body assembly manual for my 64 Plymouth from them. 1 to 10, I rate them a 8.

    Simple. Done this more than a few times. Get a piece of fairly stiff wire. About the diameter of a clothes hanger wire. Back off a timing cover bolt, wrap that wire around it. Maybe 320° around.     As the mark can be all over the place for any number of reasons I would find top dead center with a positive stop.
