Has anyone had any issues with the rear view mirror falling down or "sagging"? I have a 69 satellite and espescially if it sits in the sun the rear view will not stay in the position you set it too. Not an issue when cold. I know its the metal expanding from the heat but wondering if anyone has...
Installing a mp brake disc conversion kit along with the polygraphite bushing set from pst, qa1 tubular lower control arms, front sway bar and finding the correct offset i need to run 295/65/15. Im sure more will come up as i progress into this.
Sorry shaft bushings. the control arm itself is clearly "loose" you can wobble the shaft and bushing assembly in the arm itself. Now I see why they sell the stiffening plates. I weighed out my options and decided to go with the QA1 tubular lower control arm.
So I tore my suspension apart last night to start the rebuild and found that my lower control arm shafts are worn out and that is not included in the kit. I would suggest ordering those as well.
Mancini racing sells a kit that includes all the "specialty" tools you need to work on the front end, call ahead and check availability it took 4 months before i saw it though. As mentioned before PST sells a entire kit which i also purchased.
Is this a tti exhaust? If so what year is your car? I wanted turn downs but did not see a kit offered with that option for my 69 satellite. Ended up going with the same style as the original poster.
Just an update, ended up losing the headers that came on the car after trying to have them repaired for a crack which only re emerged after the weld. I ended up going with tti headers and their x pipe header back system. very nice quality and the fit was amazing compared to the ones that were on...
Had a busy day yesterday, replaced the radiator and hoses, motor mounts, freeze plugs, mini starter, and stainless trans lines. Got my disc conversion kit from mp and all my suspension components from pst that's going to be the next thing to tackle. Shes no show car or a restoration right now...
I noticed the difference between the original and the aftermarket but I just bent the tangs up on the aftermarket one and it made a noticeable difference in fitment and haven't had any issue with it leaking.
