Heres is a persons experience with a dual plane Edelbrock air gap intake worth reading, there was a few experts involved that have to scratched their heads for a bit.
You have never heard about uneven fuel distribution depending on intake/engine combo? Ok than you maybe should try to study that topic some .Why do you think there is alot of different manifolds to fit the specific engine, dual, single and so on. I not believe it myself before i talked to some...
After another test drive it was number 6 that was totaly black instead of number 7 and still 3 fat cylinders so its not just a single one of them thats running fat so i belive the problem is and i have always belive it that it is the distribution of fuel in this intake that is uneven, maybe its...
Hi i wonder about the same thing and nobody seems to have a proper answer, im also running a wideband a/f gauge and that one tells me really rich but by reading the plugs the distibution is uneven, that means if someone just tuning by what a/f ratio gauge say its very possible its running rich...
Im going to check mixture and change to hotter plugs, these are a bit to cold, only 2 threads slightly colored. The engine not running bad, its running great actually with the Fbo distributor, 18 hg of vacuum at idle, i just checked the plugs and see there was uneven colored, 5 plugs looked good...
Hi! I have done alot of tuning with my Mopar 493 stroker engine, Edelbrock avs2 800cfm, Edelbrock rpm intale, Edelbrock E-Street heads 84cc, Comp cam xe275hl camshaft(231/237@050), 10,04:1 scr, Fbo distributor set at 18 initial and full manifold vacuum brings it to about 30 at idle, 34 degrees...
Thank you for your answer i just wanted to try the non projected plugs and see hows it go with it, i have understand they prevent detonation but also that they mostly are used in boost applications. I have not heard any pinging with the hotter ngk 6 projected tip i drive before this and not see...
Thanks actually i installed a AEM A/F wideband meter and it works for about 20 minutes, now when i start the car it " do its thing" go back and forth and than show about 14 for a few seconds and than bottoms out at lean and stays there no matter how i drive and only shows - - - three lines. Is...
Hi! What can be said about these spark plugs, i think they are to cold and wrong for my engine, it is ngk 7 non projected tip. The engine 493 cui stroker scr 10,04:1, edelbrock e street 84cc heads, xe275hl (231/237@050) camshaft, the engine runs great but slight misses on idle, the engine have...
Hi! I drive the car yesterday with Lucas hot rod classic 10w-40 and my hot preassure now at idle is 40 psi 900 rpm and when i put the rpm up to 2000 i have 60 psi, so i guess the 10w-30 was a little thin
Thank you for your answer! I know whats important in an engine is the flow of oil, with bigger clearance more flow needed beacuse more leak out of the bearing edges. The oil pump not create any preassure, its create flow, all pump does. The preassure be created of recistance to flow, tighter...
Thank you! The lower preassure is because i have double oiling to the rockers, through the pushrods and through the rocker shaft. The preassure is lower but enough, it follows the rpm good, but i know everybody have their own comfort zone
I build the engine for street use and i have both oiling through pushrod and through the shaft and belive its the cause of lower idle preassure. It was not my plan to oiling through pushrod from the beginning but the comp cam pushrods i ordered have the oil through and have the lenght i needed...
