Something to help decode your VIN and Fender Tag 1968 ONLY

Thank you so much for your work on this document! There are so many sites now promising "decoding" that are erroneous in some of the details. They just want to collect views. Research like this is golden and trustworthy to us. And yes, I understand that at the factory mistakes could well have...

Something to help decode your VIN and Fender Tag 1968 ONLY

Thank you. We're not going to worry about people telling us about it. Bench seats are great for a family, as I bet the previous owner knows, and ours is a driver ROAD car, not a Show Car. And it's also now a 12.5 second TRACK car. RT! Cheers

Thanks alot! I heard that some "factory cars" came with them, now I know which ones! I tried emailing a guy mentioned on BBodiesOnly who apparently made them, but like the original posts here, he could be dead or almost there..... I guess. :)

Column shift reverse manual valve body or regular pattern auto shift?

We have a column shift in our 68 Coronet RT bench seat car, we cruise and race, so we want to keep it as is. We installed a Cheetah Reverse Pattern Manual Valve Body a few weeks ago and immediately cut 3 tenths off our ET. No mush in those shifts now, and shifting the car manually is not a...

Yes you can just switch out the Valve Bodies, quick job. Not sure about the kickdown linkage we have an aftermarket cable deal.

Great looking 68 RT Justin! Betting that your Dad enjoyed his ride by the look of the wrinkled MTs and his helmet position. lol

    Recommended headers for a 440 in a 71-74 b body?

See attached screen shot from Nicks Garage Dyno Testing on Youtube. Can't recall the header size, check it out for yourself. Hard to argue with a dyno back-to-back test.
