Put the Bee stripe on, just before leaving for a party out of town. Came out ok, a couple of wrinkles I couldn't smooth out in one spot around a reflector, might have to re do that bit at some stage

Reassembled the coronet Quick wet sand and buff to get rid of the fluff, really needs a better sand n buff, will do before I put the stripe on in a few weeks. Went to a show, the first time taking the Coronet to a show as a car legal for our roads. Love driving this thing with the 4 speed big block

Rubbed back the 2k red,put 3 coats of clear on. Very happy with the results. Light rub n polish then reassemble. As an amateur in the garage, I feel this is as good as could have hoped for

Got the paint done. Came out ok. I was a bit heavy on the top coat, so gotta deal with some runs. Little but of fluff here n there, so needs a rub back. It's a 2k single stage, so I can sand, cut n buff and be done with it. But I did a sample with a clear coat and it looks pretty good, so I may...

Our 69 Coronet. Getting legal for Kiwi roads

Been busy with paint prep, only found one more small spot of rust, so fixed that. Stripped the roof back, as it was crocodile reaction all over it. Primed with epoxy urethane. Did small dent filling and 2k prime to repairs. Have now rubbed the whole lot back, and am making my DIY booth...

A retired panel beater. They inspect the car when imported for body repairs over it's lifetime, sometimes they are cool, sometimes they make you strip stuff if they think it's Bondo. It's a real headache, quite often the biggest hurdle to get a classic car legal here

Yep, kept the 215 on the front. 295 on a 10inch on rear. And yes, annoying I had to strip those areas, especially as this car is really solid overall. I'm just painting to whole thing red again in my shed, same color as it was before. Our government is progressively making it harder to import...
