For sure, the club needs to work on better communication on the various forums. That said, they made a giant leap forward this year with online registration for the show.
I plan to enter my car next year.
I went to the show as a spectator for a couple of hours. Kudos to everyone for making the show much more organized! It seemed like the show was a little bigger than last year, but still smaller than years ago. Hopefully, it will grow from its new start today. @Kern Dog You will be happy to know...
I haven’t had a Comp Cam fail since 1985, but there are tons of stories out there about them failing in recent years. I much prefer to buy a custom grind from a small cam grinder than from a giant company that is owned by a private equity firm.
You’ll get a better product from a small cam...
I figured out where those two wires go, but I didn’t end up using the new harness. I found that, in fact, whoever did the wiring connected the blue field wire to the coil side of the ballast, not the 12 v “run” wire. I cut the wires and respliced them correctly and now it charges at 13.75 volts...

I use it frequently at work (I’m an IT guy). It is pretty good at helping me interpret error messages and log files. I have caught it a few times giving incorrect information. It’s far from perfect, but it is helpful.
My ‘67 Belvedere II is overcharging, around 15.5 volts. It cooked my last battery. I have a new Deka battery that I don’t want to cook as well.
My car was upgraded to a squareback alternator and later model VR by a previous owner. They also added a HiRev 7500 electronic ignition.
I have tested...
This. 100%. They did a mild cam for my friend’s 360 and it runs fantastic. He wanted something mild because it will be his daily driver and the cam is perfect for his needs. Stay away from the big names. Gotta go with a small company for a good product.
Thanks! It’s a 383, 4 speed, 3.23 sure grip. I posted a link to a video about the car here.

Just showing off my unrestored ‘67 Belvedere II right after a bath today. I realized after I took this picture that it was picked up from the dealer by the original owner 58 years ago last Monday.
