I have used the grease or bread or wet paper and broomstick method in the past with success. But last week I was unsuccessful removing one with this method. Bought a pilot bushing removal tool at Harbor Freight. Wasn’t successful at first, but with a little grinding on the tool, got it to work fine.

I installed a GV unit on a 727 in my 67 Coronet with 3.23 ratio. If you have 2.76 or 2.94, you should be good without an OD. Should be around 2,000 rpm @60mph.

Still no timing numbers, just winging it, so who knows.

I have been using Black Beauty extra fine in my cabinet and my pot blaster with good results.
