Harmonic Balancer Vs. Water Pump Conflict

Seems suspicious it only happens over 90 degrees. How far out of round is that balancer?

torsion bar install what am I doing wrong?

Is the rationale for keeping the LCA shaft nut loose to get the bushing in a neutral (i.e. not twisted) condition at normal ride height?

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Now on to the (even worse) RH rocker panel.

It's been a while. LH rocker panel is done.

    C-Body crash test

Great if you get rear ended by a Civic. Hit something of equal mass or really solid (like a big ole tree) and you'll be wishing the car had some give to it.

    Inner front fender crack?

I would weld it up soon if it was my car. It cracked for a reason, i.e. it was carrying significant load. That load has to go somewhere. Hopefully into something strong enough to take it.

What's your view of improper rebadging a car ?

As long as you're not changing the VIN or faking documentation or something like that (i.e. fraud), I say go for it.

    Cheap small arc welder

YESWELDER machines are cheap and reviews are pretty good. I bought their TIG-205P. Worked well for about a week and then just quit in the middle of a bead. Totally dead. To their credit, they sent me a replacement machine with zero hassles. I've been using that one for over a year now...

Mangled hub and (possibly) cracked spindle.

Looks like that crack extends right through the shoulder of that spindle. That thing is huge. Scary stuff.

Way off topic but....2007 Dodge Ram 1500. Is THIS a catalytic converter?

Looks like a resonator to me. Catalytic converters need to be hot to work properly so they are usually closer to the exhaust manifolds.

Lower Control Arms - missing or bent tabs for sway bar

Yup, my thoughts exactly. That took some serious force to do. I would replace the LCAs and take a hard look at the other parts too.

    Welding consumables pricing

It's a pretty sad little store. I prefer Ann Arbor Welding Supply big time, but it's like a 45 minute drive from my house.

    Motorizing the Eastwood Bead Roller

Floor stand is from Eastwood. Steel might have been better for the coupler, but the only ones I could find were a lot more expensive. The aluminum one seems to work fine.
