Hello all,
The gas gauge worked in the past (though not well). Over the last 2 years I have done a lot to the car restoring it and now it is up and running almost 100%. However, the fuel gauge doesnt read at all and I have to carry a gas can for longer drives.
I checked the grounds to the...
After building a high compression 440 and adding air conditioning, I upgraded to an an aluminum radiator and electric fan setup.
I have the radiator that was in the car when I purchased it (67 Coronet RT) that I have now found out is not original to the car since the stamping is 4036927, not...
Hey all,
I am finally at the point where the car is just about finished (well, finished for a moment as we all know its never truly done) and I need the parking brake cables/connector bracket that goes underneath the car. This is the cable assembly that connects the parking brakeand actually...
The local mom and pop auto shop had a book and I was able to match it up and order some! Not many places like this left but the lady at the counter has been there since 1976 and knows a lot about Mopars! Will be my go-to place in the future!
So, finally finished up installing my built 440 and kept having issues getting it to start...anyway, it looks like a few wires going to the bulkhead connector got damaged during the install. It was reconditioned years ago and looked at again when I added A/C and addressed the...
Hello all,
I am almost ready to fire up everything, but as I install an MSD box on my 67, I am not sure what wires I need from the ballast resistor and I do not see a similar setup on the mymopar wiring diagrams I have found. It may help that my car's drivetrain had been changed to a mid/late...
After a long journey, I am trying to hook everything back up with the new engine in and it seems a few wires lost their labels (or weren't labeled at all) on the left side of the engine and I want to be sure I minimize making a mistake based on what I think I remember.
Where would I find...
I need one that looks like the picture I posted as that is what I have. The 727 in my car came from a late 70s vehicle so it is not the same as the late 60s/early 70s that look like the picture you posted. Thanks for trying to help.
SO yes, its a 76 linkage setup...(originally a 400 and 727 out of a car I have no idea about). THe tranny was rebuilt and the block is one of the larger water jacket late 70s 440s. Just want to get it back into the car without changing much else as it all worked before I pulled it apart!
guess...
I am looking for a 33 tooth (yellow) or 36 tooth (red) speedometer pinion gear for my 727 transmission.
Ebay sellers are out of those sizes and I cant find at the normal restoration vendors :-(
I am trying to figure out the proper setup/routing for the kickdown linkage on my 440/727 combo. I am not sure if the hinged piece faces the front of the engine or the firewall and how I should route the linkage pieces back to the 727.
I can't find the pics I took before the original engine was...
Hey all,
I have a 727 behind the 440 that is going into my 67 Coronet. The factory speedo never seemed right with the red drive gear (didnt count teeth), plus now I have 3.55 gears in the rear...I am running 15" tires that are very close to the factory in overall height. The 8 3/4 rear is from...
I am finishing up installing the new 440 in the Coronet and need to get the 400 out of the garage for space. I posted a few weeks ago, but thought the engine was a 383, until I checked the side and saw a "76" in the casting. I don't know much about the engine as it appears to have been swapped...
