After fighting mine (and failing) for an hour, I checked here and found my answer. It's so simple. Thanks a million for the pictures. I kept telling myself it had to be something easy for the assembly folks back in the day. Again, thanks.
I acquired a fresh 360 short block from a friend. Casting # 53006921, 89-92 truck. It has the roller cam and timing chain installed with the roller lifters, nothing else. My question is: will the later 93 up Magnum heads work? I have a complete core 360 from an 95 Jeep for the heads/rockers and...
As Spring has arrived, I will be installing front disc brakes from Scarebird, new firewall mounted dual power brake master cylinder and hanging pedal, also replacing the stock steering column with a Flaming River tilt column. The goal is to make it Hot August nights in Reno this year.
The 56 Plymouth had a flathead 6 and 3 on the tree. The 64 Valiant a slant 6 with 2 one bbl carbs and 4-speed with pistol grip. I put a 413 4-speed into the 67 Coronet, also with a pistol grip shifter. The 62 Imperial was all stock.
Not mine, but looks pretty good and complete. Located in Vallejo, CA. $2,550 is the buy price.

I bought this car a few years ago, the guy I got it from over-stated the quality of work. The flathead 6 had been replaced with a 318/904 but retained the stock (low geared) rear end. The engine install was sloppy and mounted in the frame crooked. The wiring was hap hazard and part homemade and...
