I'm looking to do some racecar lettering on my 70 RR, but I want to have something I can remove when I want or move it around. I'm thinking maybe I can have some of the magnetic vinyl like billboards be made and I can take them off depending on the occasion. I really don't want to do anything...
When these 5 speeds were announced, I was getting my 4 speed rebuilt by Passon. I personally went to the Passon shop in PA several times. I asked about the new 5 speeds and I didn't get much of an answer other than it will be a while. He didn't even have one there to look at if I recall...
Thanks for all the info YY1. Good stuff. I'll look into it all. The "Factory" trailer hitch I'm seeing pics of on here and online appear to be fairly easy to duplicate. I'm a decent welder, but have a friend that's really good so that might be an option. Given the price people are asking for...
I have subframe connectors installed on my car, so that should be helpful. It's a fairly stiff car. But I'm guessing you're talking about the overall design and it being difficult to install one in general.
A clamp on hitch? Would love to see a pic of one.
Hey Everyone I'm looking to do a fairly long road trip in the spring and think it will be easier to do towing a very small trailer with my 70 Road Runner. I plan on hauling the smallest U-Haul type closed trailer with some tools and some other gear, not towing a boat or anything crazy. I figured...
I too have 915 heads on my 440. I do not know the internals but previous owner claims to have had it rebuilt. It does have a forged crank, a mild cam, Weiand intake and 750 Holley with basic electronic ignition and iron manifolds. I've been running the Champion RJ12YC plugs for a while. No...
Following this thread as well because I’m in the middle of wiring my electric fan up too. I think I might try one of these and put the temp sensor in it. I also have an aftermarket temp gauge taking up the port in the water pump so this might be a better option.
Thoughts...
I've been wanting to replace my old stamped steel valve covers for a while. Finally ordered the desired set about 10 days ago from Jegs. I get an mail a few days back that they are apparently on back order and ETA for shipping was supposed to happen this week. I get another email on Tuesday with...
Guys, what is the proper way to attach the back part of the front bench seat to this middle "hinge" part? My RR had just a normal bolt and nut combo on there which was never really secure and eventually came apart.
Is there a better way to re-attach this because trying to use a normal nut/bolt...
I disliked the gear drive on my 440 (that's an understatement, I F'n hated it). It was very noisy. A chain was a very pleasant fix and now I can actually hear the thump of the engine instead of the whine of the gear drive. To each his own though.
