Can anyone tell me how to remove the section of cable that runs through the crossbrace....without ruining it? Seems this retainer is swedged on. Figured i ask before i get medieval on it. Thanks
From the Assembly Manual. Have no idea why they posted upside down. Anyway...the blackout depends on the color of your car. Shaded x's show where it was applied. The factory used a product called Organesol, but i found that Low Gloss Black engine paint mimics it nicely.
Could anyone tell me if the door & quarter window glass with its channel from a power window car will work with a manual window regulator?
I have a parts car with power windows and need all the glass for my manual window car. I know the glass is the same but wasn't sure if that metal channel it...
Thanks for the link. What threw me off is a restored green one for sale that had the underside of the hood blackened. After a little bit of sanding, i'm 100% certain the underside of the hood was body color. Now...about that top of the cowl. Still wondering about that part.
right...just want to blacken tbe areas the factory blackened.
My 72 has it on the rad support and on the corners of the cowl. The 74 I'm working on has the entire underside of the hood in black. Wanted to be sure that wasn't done by the factory before i go sanding it off.
