Best to measure what you have. As said above there are different widths along with different diameters. so there are at least 4 size options.

You can bet that a 55 year old unknown block will need to be bored for any quality rebuild. By the time that block gets hot tanked and cleaned, squared up, line bored, cylinders bored, cam bearings installed , Quick guess 1k to 1.5k . Then there is assembly, cam degreeing, shipping, taxes, and...

Better start saving that 10k for the rebuild.

You should verify that it is in fact a 1970 383. Just because it came out of a 1970 does not mean its an original to the car. Lots of things happen in 55 years. You need to make sure its a forged crank motor because you will have to verify the crank pilot, you will need a bellhousing, flywheel...

Add a ground for the circuit board.

I do not think there should be two. The long one with the grommets is all you should need. I would cap the other one off.

Engine vacuum goes to the storage tank. From the tank to the switch. One side of the switch sends vacuum to the pods to open and the other sends vacuum to the pods to close.

FSM 23-34 to 23-37 shows the system.

With the system shut off and setting for a few minutes the pressures will equalize. If it does that the service port and gauge would be ok and working.
