My Miller tool which is the factory driver has no tabs to fit a notch. Maybe an aftermarket driver has tangs to fit a notch. If your housing has no provisions for a notch drive it in.
Thats why I posted what the FSM said. They make no mention of the notches because as I remember there were none. The original number was 2801724. These bushings are aftermarket and maybe another application requires the notches. So it most likely does not matter.
I find it very hard to believe that a rear main seal got past a bearing and into the pan. If anything oil pressure would keep it away from getting into a bearing. The clearance is to close. Valve seals is what most likely caused your oil starvation.

Most non-factory undercoating drilled holes and used plugs. Factory undercoating comes off with heat and an assortment of scrapers, knives, and brushes.
That is a 62-65 413 manifold. It is a poor choice for what the poster is trying to do. It going to flow poorly and the way that intake opening is the turbulence will be like hitting a brick wall. Find the right manifold.
That style is made for adjustment which requires you to degree the cam. You should of ordered one that is designed for the straight up install. With all the garbage on the market I trust none and degree every one.
