    Externally oiled head restrictor size.

That’s the thing there is no hole on later magnums. All I’ve ever heard is that drilling the hole takes a masterful machine shop. Drilling a 4” deep hole ouselves to make a passage “should” be pretty easy. Cross drill into that hole, tap, then run a 1/4” tube to an oil gallery and should be set...

    Externally oiled head restrictor size.

Yes, I’m going to practice my crossover tube on 2 other blocks then do the entire workup on an LA block with all oiling mods before working on the magnum. My idea is simple. Dill 3-4” down from deck where hole would be. Then drill at 45-90 degree angle into that passage. Then run a short...

Perfect. Thanks. This will be for needle roller shaft mounts too.

    Externally oiled head restrictor size.

Does anyone know what size restrictor is used in the Indy EZ head for externally oiling the rocker shaft. I would like to put LA heads on a magnum but not sure how much steady state flow is required.

Turbo big block, which to use, 413 or 440?

I assume you still have the cam card? How long ago did you buy the cam you talked about above?

Turbo big block, which to use, 413 or 440?

Thanks for that info. I'm building a sb turbo motor now but collecting parts for a 451 in the future. Have most parts including single plane intakeforged crank, and one aluminum head, lol, but still need pistons and cam.

Turbo big block, which to use, 413 or 440?

So why did you not use the cam yourself? What were the results during breakin? Pretty snappy? What would be a good head flow to match that particular cam?

ProCharger or Turbo what say you

WOW, I've always heard all the horror stories of blown bells going from 1st to 2nd or as you say when breaking driveline parts. I will get a good driveshaft before putting too much power to it. I also want a good sprag for insurance. Kinda stuck with a 8 3/4 rear so I plan to back brace it and...

Ok, I will not be running a brake. I think he noted that he put in a bolt-in=sprag too. Also, I'm getting older so I will get a shield. Safety first. LOL Are the Aluminum drums durable enough for a weekend driver that could also be taken on the power tour or some Roadkill events?

Thanks, Yeah, he gave me some info on block durability mods and cylinder head requirements over at Mo Parts. I will definitely hit him up again when I start building my 727 to hold up to the new found power.

I still have the P600B and bracketry. I bought the kit back in late 90's so it had the older solid mount tensioner. I talked to the guys I bought it from, SDCE in Warwick RI, and they want $1000 to upgrade to the newer style spring setup. I now have a 78/75 billet t4 that I plan to build a hot...

I'm currently copy-cat-ing your sons' 360 build to the best of my ability using the posts from here and the turbo forums. Engine is going into a 71 Ply Satellite. Thankful he put the info out there. What is he getting his masters in??
