WTB Need a Magnum 5.9 block

Hey everyone, thank you for the encouraging replies. I am sure I will find a usable donor motor and then rebuild it into a semi-stormer at the very least. I probably wont push it quite as hard as before, while I like the engine work, some of the removal and replacement aspects are not too...

Insulating the shifter cable from header heat 65 Coronet

Hey Purple, thanks very much for all your ideas. I will be incorporating some of them. I have some reflective heat shielding material that I am thinking of making a box shaped tube out of to go over the cable in the contact area after baseball wrapping that entire area of the cable with 3M...

Insulating the shifter cable from header heat 65 Coronet

Thanks very much, but this won't help as my issue is that the intersection I am working with is 3" in front of the bracket that bolts the cable to the trans. It simply can't be avoided regardless of cable length.

Insulating the shifter cable from header heat 65 Coronet

I have installed a B and M Ratchet shifter in my 360 magnum 727 trans 65 Coronet. The problem is that the only path for the shifter cable from the bracket on the transmission puts it right up against the exhaust header where the cable goes across the bell housing. I already ruined the first...

    1971 fresh 727 into a 65 coronet that had a 904

Thanks very much for this, can you tell me any part numbers or specific descriptions that will help me get to this part, it looks perfect. What did you do about extracting the emergency brake cable from the old cross member part? Again, thank you very much.

    1971 fresh 727 into a 65 coronet that had a 904

I am putting a fresh1971 torqueflite 727 into my 65 Coronet and it requires a different rear mount setup. My rear mount cross-member piece also retains the parking brake cable assy. One, does anyone know how to remove that cable assy without damaging it? two. is there any bolt in replacement to...

Need help on my 65 dodge hot rod

I am installing a freshly built 727 from a 71 dodge in my 65 dodge behind a 2002, 360 roller motor and have hit a snag. The studs at the rear mount on the 727 are about 1 and 1/2 inches farther to the rear and 1" closer together, than were the bolt holes on the A904 that I am replacing. Is...

Thanks PurpleBeeper, when I looked on Ebay, I did not find any that had the full gear and plug adapter that I need for the transmission I now have. I will look again.

    speedometer cable assembly

I am putting a 727 transmission from a 71 Dodge into my 65 Coronet 440. It has a larger speedometer adapter plug and gear assembly than the A904 that I took out. Does anyone know where I can get the speedometer cable assembly or perhaps have one for sale?
