Looking for a 69 Coronet RH headlight bezel. I will strip down and repaint so as long as it is in good shape with no major scratches and dents that is fine. Shipping to Raleigh NC.
Getting ready to “restore “my 69 Coronet tail lights. Not looking for a concourse restoration, just something that looks nice for cruising around and an occasional drive-in car show. I have thoroughly washed with soapy, water and nylon brush the entire assembly. Car was very very sloppily...
Oh, believe me, I’ve seen that restoration thread. I’m very impressed and intimidated at the same time lol. If mine were an original super bee that’s definitely the route I would take, but was hoping I could find something a little simpler, maybe not. Main reason I went with a clone was because...
Finally, getting around to starting restoration on some trim pieces for my 69 Coronet. Originally a 440 package, but I will be doing a Super Bee clone. I need to strip the black paint off, clean and repaint in the correct design for the super bee.
First question, what would be the best way...
I have a stock K member with LCA’s and 8 1/4 inch rear end with axles out of a 1969 small block dodge Coronet. K Member is in good shape, but I did cut the two struts to get tension off so I could remove the front suspension. The rear end is in good shape I believe but two pan bolts were...
Thanks everyone. Don’t know how I missed that. I’m gonna chalk it up to my bronchitis/fever lol. Now I need to delete this post before others see how much of an idiot I am. Thanks again
Good point, I didn’t take pictures before I removed so I was looking at the shop manual at their diagram. Pretty sure this is the way it showed them going on, but maybe I need to double check.
Reinstalling the new rear end and suspension. New 8 3/4 rear end from Dr Diff, new heavy duty springs/bolts/front hangers/rear shackles from Mancini. Reusing my lower spring plates from my original suspension. It was a 318 car. Seems like the lower spring plates are too narrow. See picture. Are...
I just ordered a set. That’s why I was wondering if they are even needed with the inner seals and green bearings. Won’t hurt to use them. And the black gaskets sent are just the felt material without the raised ring. I’m guessing the new style bearings changed thoughts on what’s exactly needed...
That’s what I was thinking as well, but the white foam gasket wasn’t included. Didn’t know if any of those were needed or not since it has the green bearings. The inner seal is installed also.
I’ve read numerous posts about the gasket but not one matching my senario. Just received a new housing/ 8.75 rearend from Dr Diff. It has the new green sealed bearings installed on the axles. Does the supplied gasket go b/w the housing and brake back plate or b/w the brake back plate and axle...
