The car had a 572 in it when I bought it and it was a 10th slower than this best pass so far. I fell in love with this car, I just wish it was lighter. I am hoping to get a 9.0 out of this combo.

So even without me in it, it is heavy on the driver rear. The rear is all new with all new ladder bars and brackets. I helped a buddy who does this kind of stuff and I am sure...
I picked up a 64 Dodge drag car last year and ran it with the 572 until I decided to make a change. I run a Modern Street Hemi Shootout series with my Hellcat and wanted to run this car in it so out came the 572 and in went the Hellcat engine.

I do think the comments about getting used to it are on target. The last drag car I had was a 6.0 1/8th duster and it was not as angry on the leave as this car is. Plus I have been running modern Challengers for the last 5-6 years into the 10's in the 1/4 but they left nothing...
After a number of years playing in the modern Hemi arena, I picked this car up to have something old school to run as well.
I only have three passes on it because the first two resulted in a little more front end lift than I expected and more of a problem was the landing.
