Congratgulations Bob! Excellent job, now you can enjoy the fruits of your hard labor and financial sacrifice.
Did you convert to a 24 spline convertor?
Having a chance for re-aquire your High School ride is near priceless. I'd just about give anything to have mine back but will never have a chance.
If you don't go for it you may never again have another chance so give it your all.
Good luck!
If the studs were removed when the headers were installed, some of the holes are not blind holes. They go into
the water jackets. If it has header bolts they can leak. I'd check there first.
Good luck!
You might try McMastercarr.com you'll need the OD, ID and cross section though. I purchase lots of items from them and unless it's a special OEM size they'll likely have it.
Good luck!
It downloaded and installed with no issues, I haven't had time to use it much yet but so far, no serious problems.
All in all, a good score. Thank's again for the heads up.
Very nice Car UW, I'm happy to hear that you're doing well. My wife was asking how you were doing because she also went through this.
Now you can back to working on your car, feeling normal and enjoying the little things that make life enjoyable. Best wishes to you!
A '57' BSA 500 Goldstar. After many years of riding BSA's Triumph's ,Honda's, Harley's, kaw's I figured I was pushing my luck with all the inconsiderate morons on the road so I sold my last Harley and quit riding. I miss it but getting too old......
My farthest was a 2300 mile round trip to Oregon. Inspected the car, rented a trailer then went to the bank.
I loaded the car on the trailer and drove back to Arizona. Told the wife we were going to have fun on a road trip and she was all into it. Sometimes all it takes is a little psychology.
Years ago when I was having billet cranks made, I had the opportunity to watch a crankshaft being machined at Scat Enterprises.
I could see very little due to the coolant and waste chips. but this video gives a better idea what actually goes on...
On my '63' Hardtop, which I'm pretty sure are the same. Mine are secured with Two screws.
I had to remove mine because the doors woudn't close properly I'd have to really slam the doors.
Let me know how yours work out.
good luck!
