I would run it with the 5 for a short time and check again. Go from there. It will let you know how much oil it will be happy with. Just don't over fill.
I used them years and had no complaints. My brother and I have also built headers for a few cars and had them coated by Jethot and were happy with the results.
Let me add a twist to the topic. Why not stick with the exhaust manifolds from the factory. If you're not all out racing, they will be plenty and if you have to replace the starter, you will be happier.
Have a nice day! 3 cars or no cars!
God bless Ed. I almost hit the like button, but felt in this case not to be appropiate, because I don't think it fits the situation. A person can be pushed only so far and you did the best you know how to do. Good on you.
I'm reminded of something I was told long ago about such situations, to...
Look up Red Green. He's up your way somewhere. I'll bet he knows a thing of two about straightening that frame rail.
On the serious side, hope you can find a shop to help. And as others have said, some pics and more details will be helpful.
Please excuse my poor attempt at humor.
Well Ed, all I can say is it works in the Stainless tank I also bought from them and it is working with the original gauge in the dash.
And I'm sure you know a lot of these parts are made off shore.
That's my 2 cents.
Dave
I use red locktite also. Before I started using it, I did have them come loose after driving 2.5 hours to a test and tune and had no way of tightening them at the track, so 2.5 hours back home.
That was 20 years ago, and never had it happen again.
OK Ed. Couldn't find my invoice, but did find the info:
Vans Auto.com
SKU CHBSND683-N
68-70B Body
Sending Unit 3/8"
$50.00
Hope this helps others as well
Dave
Hey Ed, I'm presently looking for the receipt for the part in question. Will post when or if I can find it. And if I'm wrong(which happens occasionally) I will admit it. I will post where I bought it. Dave
Okay I'll share it ONE more time! 3/8 sending unit from Vans Auto. Factory in dash gage. IT READS CORRECTLY!
Yes it may be a fluke, but it works. My 2 cents RUFFCUT
