    1963 Polara Transmission Problems

Many years ago, when I was a teenager, my dad had our 63 Plymouth backed in the garage. The overhead door was closed while doing a tune up. When completed, the car was started and revved up while in park. It lurched forward and drove thru the door and I was in front of the car. It broke the...

Any old timers recognize this tool?

It was old stock that the builder had. He's been building Mopar engines since 1963.

Any old timers recognize this tool?

Don't know about value, but I'm using a rope seal in my 400 block! Engine builder believed it was the better way to go. JMTC ruffcut

Rear main seal parts number P95482-2

I can't help but if it has a P followed by a number it is a MOPAR part.

How in the H did I break this?

May have got dented after coming loose and hitting on the rockers?

Dieseling, surging - is it time to dump this carb?

I agree with others that a carb change may not fix your problems completely. It may resolve the surging after WOT, but the dieseling is more likely to be resolved with a timing adjustment. JMTC

Shift shaft VS Manual shaft SEAL?

I would replace both inner and outer seals at the same time.

Rebuilding my 727 - what optional parts usually need replacing?

I think a tear down and inspection of parts would be my first move before ordering anything. Rebuild kits are readily available. that way you're not buying parts you don't need.

Are they in alignment? If so, it will work. But may not be properly aligned.

Opinions on TCI Streetfighter 727 auto/forward manual trans vs rebuild (late 70's trans)

With a manual for 727 trans rebuild, you can do it. Just pay attention to given specs. I've done many.

    Good news; 727 case

Yep! Saw it a few days ago. Looks like a nice piece. Will be a good fit for guys racing. Doesn't need a blanket or shield. Nice that it will small and big block with the two bellhousing. John is looking to do a beefier tail shaft housing also. Almost makes me want to get back into racing! LOL

Rebuilding 1968 440. What would you all say is a quote I should expect from the machine shop with the list of items I gave them? Hoping under $5k

Yeah, I was thinking close to 10K is a good number. even after the machine shop cost, there will be things that pop up you didn't think about, or didn't think you needed.
