Ha, ha: Yes I bought 3 of them in the $2k range but that was 20 years ago. I think new and undiddled with $6500 is fair value today. I like the way they look too, but thats just a personal viewpoint.
I think you did well. I wouldnt use a few of the extras but they have value to sell. Biggest thing is it was close to home so you could inspect it and know the actual condition and its a real 69 R R and they arent on every corner these days.

I like the 69 Chevelles alright. the L78s were strong, the other 396's not so much but easier than a BBM to modify to make good power. I like the beefier 4 speeds, clutches, rear axles and better brakes of our mopars but we don't street race these cars anymore.
