My guess based on your response is that it was all intact and you tore into it anyway. Whatever. Glad you got it all out of there. Sounds like it will be a top notch resto.
Going the extra mile always pays off.
I feel your pain brother. I stepped in that pile of $hit last year. They are relentless.
I agree with the above. Buy, rent, barrow a trailer and get it yourself. SC to MA sounds like a fun road trip to me.
I just recently road tripped from CO to AR with a buddy to pick up a new enclosed trailer...
AMD was making bumpers 50 years ago?
I think you're missing the point kent.
We are talking about the quality of the repop bumpers. I have originals as well, hence my statement.
Since you obviously have not had to purchase a repop bumper lately you really don't have a valid opinion.
I...
Who said anything about half ***? You never mentioned what kind of shape it was in to begin with. If it was all intact, you f@cked up by tearing into it. If it was just cracked, you could have skim coated, prep and painted as Elk says. If it was all chunked up and coming apart then you're doing...
Certainly much better than the Chinese are cranking out these days. Keep kidding yourself about acceptability. Not to mention the repops are not true triple chromed like the originals.
Let me know if you want some pics.

The environmental activists have pretty much shut the old school...
No, a Rotex Style Turret Punch.
Good call. The interweb is a wonderful thing.
However Cranky inquired as to what it did, not what it is.
I have no F@cking clue.
I assume the Hood was AMD? The best available out there right. I had to put a repop AMD fender on my 68. I had to make about 7 different modifications to it to get to fit semi correctly. It's still only about 97%.
The correct hangers showed up today. See below.
Correct typical B Body on the left / top. Charger only on the right / bottom.
My guess is that TTi figured they could add the weld between the bolt tab and the block (3rd hangar in the second pic below) to give it a little more rigidity. That way...
I suppose that really depends on the block Kiwi. 440s and Hemis, yes.
On a low deck, all of their stuff has fit like a glove for me so far. We'll see about the 3" exhaust this weekend.
I originally wanted to stroke a 440 for this build. My engine designer talked me out of it. Went with a low...
