    Vibration on Highway at 60+

Thank you all for your great responses! Yesterday we ended up swapping the driveshaft from my father’s 71 RR. Back on the highway and the vibration was still there, but did seem to improve it some. It vibrated from 63-68 MPH but seemed to get better at 70 and above. If at 70 and putting into...

    Vibration on Highway at 60+

Originally it was bottomed out completely for some reason. We removed the driveshaft, shortened by 1” and reinstalled with new u joints. It now sits about 1” from bottoming out and has room for movement.

I read through that. I could try replacing the tailshaft bearing and the rear end seal he mentioned. I believe my angles are correct but will triple check!

Replaced the mount with a new rubber one. Do you think going with a harder poly mount might be better?

    New Owner - 69 Coronet R/T

Haha, no idea the back story in that. I’ve been looking for an orange 440 Magnum pie tin, but they are ridiculously priced. I have a decal on order and will make do with that until I can find a reasonable pie tin. I’m guessing the 440 came out of a C body or something because it’s non HP...

    New Owner - 69 Coronet R/T

That was my immediate thought when seeing the car as well. I honestly don’t love the side scoops at all and prefer them without, but with mine already having them, my plan is to paint them body color eventually.
