You have at least 4 ways to say which number your car is. You can "sort" the cars in order of:
1) VON
2) VIN
3) Arrival for nose/wing modifications
4) Completion of modifications.
The VON or J number is probably the best way even though the Petty Blue cars make that a little inaccurate. Your...
In January 2019, this photo surfaced. Richard Petty presenting the winner of the Lowe's 1970 Superbird Giveaway contest the keys to the car.
I am still searching for information on this car. Please contact me if you have anything. It was in Virginia in 1970 and for several years before...
Got pix of White Top Superbirds? I have started logging the white top superbirds that I have seen or have seen photos of. Not saying they are factory installed white tops. Just tracking them. Like the Beeler bird that was restored back to stock. Post or PM me with these cars please. Thx.

Just an update. This is same car Sept 2016
Still looking for history on it. Was in central Virginia 1970's. In barn 1978 to 2005. Only a few white top Petty blue birds (not factory) running around back then, so any one remember? Thx!
I have some lessons learned with GIII in 1970 B-Body. But I put new K frame and coil overs in, so a bit more than an engine/trans swap. Sounds like the "New Hemi forum" is the better place to research this.
Any details on the Superbird giveaway by Lowe's in 1970?
I did a little searching on web and found only newspaper ads. Wondering if the car is recognized today or who won it. Thx
-Ski. I have since found that the Cotton Owens rumor was because a previous owner of my Bird had a Cotton Owens Charger same time as my Bird. So no reason to think my car was a Cotton Owens car at any time. Thx.
