You are right, I didn't know that there is a difference between two of them :) So, 1/2" plug is the solution for me.

I have a few 5/8" bolts and this hole is bigger than that, so it is definitely a lot bigger than 1/2" :)

My plug is bigger in diameter, here you can see inch/mm conversion My port hole is about 18.1mm but another two for radiator hoses are 1/2 I think.

I just measured with my metric meter and it is about 181mm diameter, so it is not possible to be 1/2". 1/2" is 127mm diameter, so it is bigger than 1/2".

Hi guys, I bought aluminum 440 water pump housing, but need to buy plug for the biggest port on housing. I marked that port on the picture, so does anyone know what is the bolt dimension and thread for this port? I am from Europe, so here I only have metric bolts, so I need to order it...

Wait, how is original cap non vented, but have pressure/vacuum release valve?!?! What is the purpose of that valve?

As I told: I need vented cap because I plugged all vapor lines on fuel tank and removed charcoal canister and fuel tank vent line from canister.

The cap is brand new, no one drilled anything, and you can see on first picture that there is spring and valve in the cap. However, I need vented cap because I plugged all vapor lines on fuel tank and removed charcoal canister and fuel tank vent line from canister.

Because non vented cap doesn't have a small hole where I can suck the air through as this Stant cap has.

That won't answer my question regarding vented or non-vented cap.

As you can see, this is not stock cap and I found that it is vented.
