Wow half a million bucks ($500K) for a Max Wedge?

I am sure you are correct about values in CA, but just a few miles from my place here in north Texas there is land for sale at less than $900 an acre... And of course anyone can ask whatever they want for anything. Speaking of which, I am willing to part with a donor rusty slant 6 auto...

Wow half a million bucks ($500K) for a Max Wedge?

Half a mil? Let's see... I could buy one each of my favorite cars; another restored numbers matching A12 69 Superbee, a 70 Hemi Roadrunner, a 68 Hemi Charger an ACR Viper. And a few acres and a new shop to park them in. I think you'd have to really really love that particular car and...

    Steering Question ???

I assume you have ruled out ball joints and such. Steering box? I have a manual that has pages and pages of how to adjust and tinker with the Mopar PS Boxes. In spite of its appearance, it can be kind of a complicated thingy...

    restoring undercarriage on lift?

I just did the underside of my street driver Challenger. I removed the cruddy 40 year old factory undercoating and used 3M (spraycan 888) undercoat. It is not advised to paint over this undercoat, but this car is white and black anyhow, so a black undercoat looks just fine for as little of it...

    Which company dash pad

Avoid Superior Dashes in Ohio. Almost as expensive as Just Dashes but lost my original dash core, shipped me back a different (bent) recovered one.

    Can the oilpan be removed?

If you insist, I am sure it can be done. But if I need an oil pan off, I just take the engine out. Its really pretty straightforward. If its a real old one, disconnecting the exhaust might take a few extra minutes, but I can have the engine and if need be, trans, completely out of one of my...

    Forged/Cast....internal/External????

Thickness of parting line. Thin "sharp" line is on cast cranks. Thick "beefy" line on forged cranks.

    Requesting pics of A/C

I would like to see some pics of SixPack cars with A/C compressors. I am thinking of putting A/C in mine and have not decided how to mount yet. Manufacturers of the compressor and/or mounts would be helpful as well. Thanks.

    Which way would YOU go?

Part out the NY; take the 440 and put in the Demon, make a strip car outta it. Drive the Coronet in its current form while doing this. After you have the Demon doing what you like at the track, focus on the Coronet and get some upgrades for a cool Weekend Warrior/Daily Driver.

    Real vs Clone

I am by no means an expert, as I generally avoid numbers matchers, but as a hobbyist I think how the car is done can have as much to do with the value as the numbers. Some slant-6 unoptioned cars have sold for tons of cash on EBay (for example) because the builder refit it correctly with a 426...

    Tired of my 383 I want a 6.1 conversion

Just FYI, around here (North Texas) a lot of classic Mopars tend to overheat, but I learned something recently about this. I bring this up, because for as long as I have been doing this, I did not understand very well this until last summer. Tuning. A buddy of mine who is a professional...
