Normally you'd think that would do it but now what I've been seeing is adding any additional additive to a good oil upsets its additive package and actually make the oil much worse. The more I research this oil stuff the more confusing it gets.
Wouldn't any block built within a year prior to your cars build be technically correct? Either way they would not be original to the car but would be period correct.
Do you think there is any credence to this QS oil being excellent for a flat tappet engine? And possibly break in procedures being done improperly thinking it was the way to go for all these years? Is the oils high film strength a reality? Its amazingly high in PSI. Maybe this blog shouldn't...
Im in Central NJ, Woodbridge. The carbs are stock. Unfortunately Im just not a very mechanical person The car runs fine, starts fine just bogs under hard pedal. Ive owned the car a short period of time and it has not had very much use in years.
