I'm running a standard stroke with Mopar Stage V heads fitted with a fully adjustable valve train, like a Chevy small or big block setup. I'll have to get the head numbers next time I'm in the garage, but they are definitely Stage V with 88cc chambers
Sunoco Ultra 94 works! It does the job for my 0.60 over 383 with Ross 10.00-1 pistons with (proper) full advance timing. No pinging or knocking, and it's what a lot of the auto manufacturers recommend today, such as BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Volvo and many more. Premium fuel will be here indefinitely...
One of the biggest problems I've encountered when building a project occurs when I start pushing forward too quickly. It seems like the harder I push the more it starts to cost, and when it starts costing more the frustration level goes right up there, too. I hear you, so take a step back to...

I just came across this post and I'm wondering what you did with the 3:55 "489" center section after the swap. I'm in desperate need of a unit with a 3:55 gear ratio. I know anything can be purchased, but I'm extremely tight on funds and searching for something cheap. Thanks.

I had a recent scenario where the vibration would begin around 45-50 mph and once above 70 mph it would fade away, but when letting off the accelerator to gradually reduce speed, the vibration would return until the speed was around 55-45 mph. What made the diagnosis difficult was the vibration...
Lots of good ideas already, but the two things I've learned over the years is that a lot of times over-torquing the flange nuts/bolts never works, it just causes more warping & leakage. The other thing I've been doing for years now is to use high temp Permatex red gasket sealer when initially...
I just put 17743 Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers on my 66 Belvedere I wagon with a .60 over 383 with a Keisler Tremec TKO-600. Just doing a walk around to hear what they sound like at idle, I'm satisfied so far. I don't think they're too loud, and to my ears they have a nice sound.
