Had the car for 2 seasons and it's always been there -- just "drove around it." Overall dimensions on alumn rad are 27w x 20h x 2d -- has plastic shroud. No extra fans installed.

The fan does not look original and to be honest I'm not sure if it's thermal or not. But I do...
1971 440 4bbl 4spd in 74 body. Have overheating problems on "city" type stop and go traffic -- worse of course on hot summer days. I've taken things apart, flushed radiator, and have new thermostat. In breaking things down, I'd like to replace the intake neck, water pump and housing with...
Roadrunner, started all over again and bam -- she started right up as soon as I hit the key. Very happy, thanks for your help, everyone's help. Now, that she's running, I'll work on fine tuning the timing. Thanks again!
Roadrunner ... used your directions and things are better. Engine turns over smoothly but does not want to start. As it turns I hear a pressure release coming up from the carb. Removed the air cleaner and it appears to be spitting some gas too. Almost like no spark at all now. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just installed a new (refurbished) electronic distributor, rotor and cap. Made note of the rotor and distributor body when I removed it. Did not turn or move the car in between removal and install. When trying to start the car turns over for a second or two and then I hear a...
I have a set of powder coated aluminum Mickey Thompson valve covers. Used the Felpro cork gaskets, but did not use any rtv. Used Permatex "Indian Head" shellac to hold the gaskets in place on the covers before setting on the heads. Let everything set up nicely before placing/tightening. I don't...
If the tube is bolted to the engine block how does it "connect" or seal at the block? Does it just slide in with an o-ring or something and the bracket is used to keep pressure and seal? Sorry, I'm a rookie at all of this.
The tube itself is now rocking back and forth and oil is leaking down and all over the pan. I've looked at this from underneath (don't have a lift) and can't see how to tighten down, or replace the tube. Any help is appreciated.
PCV does rattle, but hose was not connected to it or to the air cleaner. I think that's where it should connect? I'll replace it and report back. Very much appreciated.
Just started up motor (440, 4bbl) and have white-ish smoke coming from valve cover oil fill cap. More throttle more smoke. I'm not sure it's the correct cap as it does not feel like it "seals" properly.
Here is what I've done over the winter: powder coated valve covers and new gaskets, new...
I have heard that keeping the filter on the tank side can help preserve the mechanical pump, the line pressure is less, and it keeps things looking a little cleaner up top. I'll be running the line behind the distributor and placing the filter tank side. Thanks guys.
Running new hard fuel line from mechanical pump to carb on 1971 Charger with 440. Two questions: 1.) What is the correct path to run the line? In "front" of and "around" the distributor, or "behind" the distributor and "over" the valve cover? I've seen it pictured both ways. Also what is the...
I've made the mistake of taking off the manifold and not documenting all parts/placements. I've also removed the carb. Had the manifold cleaned and painted. Now I need to put things back together. Does anyone have a photo of a 71, 440, 4bbl, original "old iron" manifold that shows how the...
