`70 road runner, FC7, 383, 727 It`s waited long enough, finally time to get it done.

Trunk is one piece again and looking pretty good but ... I had two concerns going in - one was if the anti- flutter material was going to hold up the spots where it was applied and leave high spots but except for a couple slight waves the surface feels smooth. The second concern was if the...

    Teslas are literally death traps.

I can`t back up my Ram with the door open as it locks it in park if I try, I think all vehicles you have to have your foot on the brake to start it, child safety locks, automatic door locks and SO many more "idiot proofing" safety devices on vehicles now but somehow hidden inside door handles...

Would you paint your car a non-original color?

Depends on the car - I almost painted my Barracuda B5 until I realized it was EV2 with white interior and had to go back to that and glad I did, you can see the cowl side jambed in blue as a test spray. My `74 road runner was originally a pea green but I went with Green Go, my `69 Barracuda was...

I`ve also seen guys who did a skim coat of mud or thick primer and used a pencil eraser or something similar to create the spot weld look.

Yes, it bent pretty easy and you actually have to be carefull not to use too much heat or it will stat melting - ask me how I know. :p (just a couple small bubbles started, no harm)

Sanded off a few layers of paint on the quarter panel extensions and went to loosely bolt them on but realized the passenger side was bent. Being pot metal I heated it up with the propane torch so it wouldn't crack when I straightened it.

    Teslas are literally death traps.

Obviously the owner of a vehicle should at least know basic stuff about it like where the hidden door pulls are but I 100% agree they are a bad idea as any other driver or passenger might not know where they are and that is dangerous.

    Teslas are literally death traps.

I've thought about it - a Tesla costs more than double what my wife's Subaru cost, my electric bill is already $200 a month and would be a lot more charging an EV every night, we buy warranties so all maintenance costs $0 except oil changes and tire rotation, we drove it to Florida and back...

Tried to get some better pics of my fake spot welds. One thing I always notice is when a trunk floor is replaced because you don't see any spot welds indents. I may do a few more but most of them are hidden under the trunk mat so you don`t see them anyway.

I got the other cylinder bolted on with no issues. Getting back to the trunk lid i had to fix a small oil can spot around the wing holes from hammering the area flat. I did three spots with the shrinking tip on the stud gun using some snow to cool it - the ONLY thing snow is good for IMO! I'm...

"Testing the waters" the latest annoying trend in listings.

Agree, I see it on FB a lot - totally annoying when they post "thinking of selling", "testing the water", "coming up for sale soon" etc. Either you are selling it or not and if so post up a legit for sale ad with PRICE, LOCATION, pics and good description otherwise -

Ever had one of those days? Woke up with one of my morning headaches but after a couple ibuprofen and a few hours I was feeling better. I decided to hit the garage and finish up the rear wheel cylinders and get them bolted on. I realized a couple weeks ago the NOS ones I found off e-bay that I...

Southern New Jersey people, looking for previous owners or info on my `70 road runner.

I`m pretty sure I had asked you about previous owners before but thanks for the response. The search continues...

Almost 52" of welding the lip. This is the second pass filling in any spots I missed the first one. More grinding ahead.
