If it comes to putting food on the table then you have to draw the line here. I'm not saying this happened, but it may be a possibility. We all go through highs and lows in life. In the end it's just a hunk of metal, but the memory will always live on with or without the car.

The alternator that came with this car a 70 RR is a chrome 70 amp from Tuff Stuff,which is not charging. It has 2 field terminals one with a green wire and the other has two wires on it,and the battery terminal. I figure I'll get this one rebuilt and run a stock rebuilt one for the time being...

I took a reading and the alternator is not charging the battery.The reading I took last night was incorrect,didn't realize the battery was low on the voltmeter. I'm not sure if that will solve the problem stated in the previous post,but will let you know once the alternator comes in.

Thanks for the quick replies. Sorry should have mentioned it has a 727 with shift kit,running 275/60/15's. I am mostly local and if I go to cruise nights or shows they are usually local. I may do a 100 mile round trip once or twice a year. Yes,kinda looking for a better launch.

Have a 383 with 8 3/4 3.23 sure grip.Will I notice a big difference going to 3.55's or is it not worth it? If so or if I go to the next lower gear ratio where is a good place to look for the gears. Thanks
