Ok, I'll be sure to get some pics and post them up. Should be re-installing everything by the end of the month...hopefully. Just waiting for some more parts to arrive.
The old headers were completely trashed - cracked, dented, and rusted that I was just able to bend sections of them out of the way while the motor was on the hoist.
Getting ready to re-install the engine (440) in my '69 Super Bee. I removed the trashed/cracked headers prior to pulling the engine.
I'm wondering if I should re-install the engine first, then install the headers. Or do the headers first (untorqued) and then install the engine? Wondering which...
I'm trying to decide whether or not to clear coat or paint a new fuel tank for my '69 Super Bee.
What was the original factory finish on the fuel tanks? I'm fairly certain fuel tanks were NOT painted from the factory.
So far I've seen pics of the bare galvanized steel look, or a gunmetal gray...
I was able to find something very similar in size and thickness to the originals and they already have a hole punched in them. They just required a small amount of trimming off each end.
Ugh, what a horrible situation. Time for a surprise visit to the shop. Take a friend with you so you have a witness that can hear the shop's excuses. If your car isn't there, and they won't or can't tell you where it is, call the police.
