Thank you very much. I have the shifter with the buttons, but not that bracket in your pics that's nutted to it. I'll have to get my old bones under the dash and see if it's there. I appreciate your time man.
I know, me too. I learned to drive in a 62 Ford with three on the tree, that's one of the reasons I fell in love with this car, and bought it. But the trans is in trouble, and parts aren't available for it, plus my wife wants to drive it :), so automatic and P/S it is, lol.
Well Vandan, I sure would appreciate some pics whenever you have the time, thank you. This is my daily driver, even through the winter, so I would like to have that info to be ahead of the game. I'd like to get it done in a day or two, so pics could help me avoid some surprises that I'm sure I'm...
What will I need to convert my 63 Savoy to power steering? From the research I've done, it looks like I can only use parts from maybe 62 to 65. Is that correct?
Thanks, Wally.
I have everything I need now to install the automatic trans in my 63 Savoy.
Does anyone know if all the bracketry and such is there from the factory to install a push button shifter?
Looking for a part number for air shocks on a 63 Savoy. I found a set that might work, but some sights sat that they will fit an early B body Plymouth, and some say they won't!
The number I found is : Munroe Max-Air MA757
Thank you all.
Yes, that's the race I need. I don't see the washer in my service manual either. The race rides on the washer, the washer has three tangs to locate it in the case.
Hey folks. I finally got my slant 904 transmission and cables to replace the manual trans.
Unfortunately, I need the race and washer for the roller clutch in the rear of the case, wich are not found in the later trans (65 or 66 up, I believe). Seems they are quite hard to find. Anyone know of...
So I finally got all my parts together for the three on the tree to 904 swap. Has anyone here installed the push button shifter from scratch? Just wondering what I'm up against.
Thanks, Wally.
