I have a 67 Coronet 500 Convertible that currently looks more like a puzzle than automobile. Parts in boxes, nuts and bolts labeled, some better than others.

It was disassembled down to sheet metal, media blasted and primed, and then ignored for a dozen years. I'm wanting to try to restore it back to "original" condition. But...

Most of the rustoration documentation has been misplaced, photos lost, etc... I purchased a shop manual which helps with some of the stuff, but the little details aren't included. And to me, that's important if I want to do it right.

I hoping that others out there might have photos they have taken during their restoration for reference. Any other sources of diagrams, reference, etc would be most appreciated!!!

thanks for any help you can offer

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Be a little more specific on where you want to start on it and tackle one thing at a time.

I have an unmolested 66 HT that I haven't taken much off of besides the 383 and the front suspension, and I took pics of the engine.

Give me a list of things you want pics of and I'll see what I can do.

thanks for your help!

Right now, I'm hanging the fenders and trying to put the front end back together. Looking for which hardware is used to mount the fenders to the firewall, and what hardware is used for the hood hinge.

I also have 3 pieces of hardware that was in the same bag labeled fender, I think the bottom one is part of the hood latch, but not sure where it goes or how it's attached, and then I have two brackets that I'm guessing are for the headlight assembly or maybe the grill, but not sure where they go.. any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

new question - convertible parts

The main metal header cross piece that attaches the convertible top to the windshield frame is badly rusted.

I'm trying to figure out, do all B body rag tops use the same hardware, or are they user specific to that model and year.

Should I try to find a replacement, are they even available, any suggestions where I might try looking? Or am I better off trying to find someone who is more talented than myself with fine metal work and have them fabricate a new piece?

As always your wisdom and advice are much appreciated!

right now, I'm trying to figure out the grill, headlights area... I have lots of pieces, and a good ideal of where most go, but parts like the ones I have shown pictures of, just seem to leave me guessing..
