Looking to rewire

That looks like one of those universal kits. I would go with an exact replacement. The exact replacement is plug and play...the universal one is going to take a lot of work to instal.

They're nice for a cheap car. You have to ask yourself what your plans are for your car and what you intend to do with it.

I've always wondered why people will spend ten grand on a motor and then look for the cheapest wiring they can find.

Not picking on you Stiggy, just haven't had my coffee yet. Most universals are gonna require that you are on your game with respect to wiring. IF you go this route, have you figured out how you're gonna do your headlight doors?

What else would you recomend? And where do I get it?

What are you looking to do with your car? Are you going mostly stock or adding a bunch of accessories? What are your skill levels and patience levels? Wiring isn't hard. Custom wiring requires that you be methodical and think ahead. I've done everything from restoration with stock harnesses to full customs starting with just spools of wire. I'm not that smart, so I know it's doable for pretty much anyone. You just have to have a plan and stick to it.

I really only want everything to work the cluster, interior lights, stuff like that. The only thing "exotic" I really want is a CD player, and I thought about making my own cluster but if I did I would use the stock gauges. I may do the power window kit from XV some time in the future but that's not even on the radar right now.

Honestly, I would get the stock repop harnesses. You can get them upgraded for the later alternator and electronic ignition. It's a little pricey, but it's dead reliable and if you do have any problems, diagnosis is right there in the FSM. Everything hooks up the way the factory intended and you're not trying to make stuff adapt over. Adding power windows later on is not a problem as they are powered through a circuit breaker that gets power from the starter relay.

Which harness is the most user friendly, in your opinion? I have heard people say that "Painless" isn't, that yearone has one that while it is terminated is still not a great and is expensive. I want to rewire my whole car but am a little hesitant to shell out that much money for a kit that is just going to frustrate me. Thanks for the help/suggestions!
