I recently finished getting my car back together after almost 3 years.Drove to several local shows and cruze ins to iron out some leaks and do some tuning Adjusted the valves, had to remove the blower to get to the intake bolts because 2 were getting motor oil forced up the threads to the top of the intake and a little oil was leaking out the back. The new waterpump vanes were rubbing against the water pump housing and had to be replaced.
I had my car on the flatbed and the HAZE Dart in an enclosed trailer towed off the back of my truck. We had alot of fun and ate like kings.Ralph from the SUPERCARSHOOTOUT always put out a great spread for all in his group.I brought Skirt Steaks for everyone and grilled 'em up after I redlit 1st round on Sunday where I ended up in N/SS and A/fx Running with Action Ange,FULLMETELJACKET and many other regulars that I know.Saturday I ran at the end of the SUPERCARS in my own A/FX exibition class.I was just testing & tuning.
Turned out my new converter was not holding my junk and I was blowing right through the converter whick made my tuning efforts a waste of time.
But I had a GREAT time even though my car did not perform up to my expectations.Did the burn-out contest to help the car count as did my friend Brian with his green monster.
Took the converter out yesterday and dropped it off at Pro torque for an adjustment.I yanked the trans by myself, car up on jackstands working on my back.I,m gettin too old for this:angryfire::grin:.
To top off a great mopar weekend at E/town,My car is on the cover of dragtimesnews.Check it out:love2:http://www.dragtimenews.com/landing.htm
